This striking lidded jar, signed "Tsukashin" and dated 1976, stands 8 inches tall and spans 6.5 inches at its widest. A masterful example of wheel-thrown stoneware, its form is both elegant and robust, with exceptionally thin, evenly constructed walls that speak to the potter’s refined technique. The jar’s design reflects a synthesis of traditional Japanese craftsmanship and modern artistic expression. The surface is adorned with dynamic cobalt blue slip decoration, layered over a raw, textured stoneware body.
