The design of the sculptural bottle CASA DE FAMILIA is an intriguing tale. Josep Maria Jujol, one of the greatest - yet least known - geniuses of Catalan architecture and Gaudí’s closest and keenest collaborator, created the piece in glass specially for the eponymous orphanage in 1912. Now CASA DE FAMILIA takes a leap forward, a new and improved more durable version in ceramic. Its tactile relief and tapered silhouette are more evident. The CASA DE FAMILIA water decanter is a simple and humble piece that magnificently demonstrates all the Jujol’s artistic ability. BD has faithfully reproduced it from the only image still in existence of the original model, the photo was clevery taken in front of two mirrors which clearly show the sculptural working to the full. COMPONENTS, MATERIALS & FINISHES: Clay in white matte glaze. The approximate capacity of the bottle is 1,2L. PACKAGING: The bottle is adequately protected and packaged inside a cardboard.
