Charming cream, green & blue majolica pitcher. English thatched cottage form. Fabricated in Japan but very British in style. Arched door flanked by flowering tree & shrubs, ribbed thatch roof, multipane windows. Lovely to display on its own or repurpose as a vase."Made in Japan" mark encircling a drawing of Mount Fuji indicating fabrication between 1921 and 1947 or after 1952. We believe this to be from the earlier period. Minor chip on spout edge,crazing, none detracts from appearance.
