Mid-20th Century Laboratory Reagent Bottle With Ground Glass Stopper Narrow Mouth Apothecary Glass Vessel
Chairish$108
Mid-20th century clear glass reagent / apothecary bottle, originally used in laboratory, pharmaceutical, and chemical settings for the storage of liquids and solutions. Cylindrical form with a narrow mouth and ground glass stopper designed for an airtight seal. Molded glass construction with visible seam lines and frosted ground neck and stopper fit, consistent with industrial scientific glass production from approximately the 1940s–1970s. Likely U.S. manufacture, similar to Wheaton and other laboratory glass suppliers of the period. Works well as a decorative vessel in interior settings, often used for single stem florals or dried botanicals with slim stems, or grouped in shelving and cabinet displays. Also used in kitchen, studio, and workspace environments as a functional sculptural glass object
