Charming English stoneware smoking set, early 20th century, comprised of a large tobacco jar and companion match holder/striker. The jar features a textured salt-glazed body with smooth glazed collar, while the smaller piece is decorated with a colorful heraldic crest bearing a lion and shield, evocative of Oxford University souvenir ware.
