I chose vibrant and strong colors to depict the inner power of women, says Ghanaian artist Bright Dankyi Mensah. Working in cubist style, he selects a long, narrow canvas for this composition. The woman carries a clay jar on her head as she walks toward an unseen river to fetch water.
