Very fine Victorian Wave Crest art glass design powder jar produced by Mount Washington Glass Company, South Boston Massachusetts. Later in 1870 it moved to Bedford Massachusetts where it produce it's most famous art glass pieces such as this. This finely decorated powder blue, and white porcelain is in excellent condition with nicely hand painted floral design. It is a little larger than most which is 7" wide x 7" deep and 4" tall. It has the Wave Crest mark on the bottom. It also still retains its fine gold gild center rim which fuses the top and bottom together. Would be wonderful in any Mount Washington Glass collection.
