The design was patented on July 15, 1890 and shown in the 1892 Corbin Portfolio of Art Nouveau page 17. The set consist of steel nickel-plated door knobs and plate with two skeleton keyholes. The ornate design consist of geometric and floral motifs. The privacy set is in very good antique condition with normal wear from age and use. This rare find would make a fine addition to any classic, distinctive home and are indeed very characteristic of quality craftsmanship at the end of the Victorian period.
