Around the edge: THE SOCIETY OF MEDALISTS FIFTH ISSUE MEDALLIC ART CO.N.Y. From Artist Lee Lawrie: "All of us are sowers, and we should not expect life to yield much in return for little, or little for nothing, or anything at all for the mere wishing - either in a material or in a higher, abstract way." This medal was chosen as the 5th issue of the prestigious Society of Medalists series. It measures 73mm in diameter and was produced by the Medallic Art Company of New York. The reported mintage is 1,617 pieces in bronze. Diameter is 2 7/8". Conditions is good with light wear.
