This hand carved wooden deer was found in southern Maine. The under coat of magenta is exposed in places on the dark lapis blue paint on the head. The antlers are encased in brass foil. Back board 13.25 x 11 Width at the widest point between the ears 13 Height is from the bottom of the back The pine back board shows oxidation Of multiple years thus the estimated 40’s vintage is established ( see photo please) The brass wrapped antlers also have natural oxidation from years of use board to the tip of the antlers 28
