This Piero Fornasetti decorative plate is model 232 and features the head of Lina Cavalieri as the head of a bird on a branch. Lina Cavalieri was an Italian opera singer popular in the late 19th/early 20th centuries. Fornasetti read about her in a 19th century French magazine.
