19th-century antique terracotta French lamb cake or bread mold from the Alsace-Lorraine region of France. Two-part mold with wire spring clip and pumpkin-colored glazed interior. During baking the two pieces are held together with the spring clip placed upside-down in the oven. When the mold is removed a charming lamb shaped cake is created. Functional and usable. No maker's mark. Some scuffs and wear are consistent with age and use
