This bronze double ink well is reported to be from the late 1800’s by the previous owner. Rococo Revival in style, it is ornate with lots of scroll work. The back has two hooks for holding a pen or quill and the two inkwells have bronze liners. The lids to the inkwells are hinged, although the hinge on the right is broken so the lid sits unattached. While inkwells are not commonly used today for ink, this piece is a lovely accent piece for a desk or office shelf collection.
