Antique early 20th century paint decorated carved wood apple box. Beautiful bright color. Measures 4 1/4" tall x 4 1/4" diameter. These apples were made in Japan for the American market in several sizes - this is the largest. Highly decorative with a pleasing original surface. Good condition - small chip to lid at the rim.
