Plate produced by the Davenport factory (1794-1887) in Longport, one of the most prestigious in Staffordshire, England. The stoneware plate is decorated with the "The Villagers" pattern, a transferware in underglaze blue. The pastoral scene in the centerpiece depicts three figures with a dog in the countryside and a village in the background. Flowers and rocaille motifs adorn the rim. The incised mark on the reverse dates it to before 1816. Rare examples, in excellent condition and highly collectible. This piece has an attribution mark, I am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
