A coffee grinder made of bakelite by the manufacturer pede dienes the peter dienes (pede) company was founded in 1869. this coffee grinder is the first grinder to be made of bakelite. Between 1932 and 1935, it was manufactured with a rigid bakelite handle, as is the case with this grinder, but the handle was later removed. the body is made of reddish-brown bakelite, the handle is made of black bakelite, the knob is made of wood, and the crank is nickel-plated. The crank is curved, which is typical for coffee grinders from this period. the mill is marked on the lid: pede dienes reform d.r.g.m. – d.r.p. the grinding mechanism has been completely dismantled and cleaned. height without handle: 17 cm; with handle: 25 cm. base width: 8 cm; depth: 12 cm; overall depth: 14 cm. this piece has an attribution mark, i am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising from misattribution
