A relief globe by Paul Räth Nachf. KG, Leipzig from the 60s The base is made of dark brown bakelite and the meridian of beige Bakelite. The ball is hand-laminated cardboard with paper. These globes are expensive to manufacture: the ball, the different ridges modeled three-dimensionally (gypsum) and then again covered with paper.
