This iconic high quality flower or cactus watering can was designed by the German artistic blacksmith Emil Funk in the former GDR / East Germany. It was handcrafted at the then renown VEB-Kunstschmiede in Neuruppin, northwest of Berlin, which was famous for its artistic blacksmithing products. Since the 1930s Emil Funk's workshop was part of the famous Gildenhall craftsmen's colony.
