A Chinese abacus dating from 1912 to 1949 with The Abacus book by Jesse Dilson. A black lacquered frame secured with brass corners houses 13 bamboo rods, each with five and two black wooden beads. The original label underneath reads "Lotus Flower Brand. Made in the People's Republic of China".
