Circa 1860 grand French copper & brass grape hod. Truly superb quality! Dark, richly patinated copper. Central double entwined cornucopia repousse motif flanked by brass bands with sun or flower bosses over bold gadrooning over bottom outswept brass band. Bold, brass baroque entwined letters monogram at the top, appearing to be A, H & D, perhaps also with a V. Brass rings to attach carrying straps with leaf lappets. Splits/cracks at base typical of age & use. 16.25" w., 14.75" d., 30.25" h.
