Antique large French grain sieve or Tamis, circa 1900s. These were used in the French countryside to sort harvested grain, or in bakeries. This example is particularly well made. The iron bottom has a decorative pattern and a beautiful serrated edge around the wooden frame. On the inside, you can still see the old staples. Very beautiful and decorative in a rustic interior. It is in good antique condition without damage, it has natural time-related patine.
