This special antique French milk jug, also known as a canne à lait, was used in the 19th century to transport milk from the farm to the home or market. It is a handmade piece, crafted from yellow copper, and is exceptionally large in size. What makes it unique is the warm, weathered patina combined with the many old repairs that are visible. These traces of use and repair give it a characteristic and authentic look. It dates from around 1820-1850. 54 cm high, 40 cm wide, 38 cm diameter.
