The jellyfish is the main element of the Mosche Bianche's "Medusa" Collection: fluid, delicate but also dangerous and deadly. It represents the water, the circle of life. The special pigments in this creation make it flourescent. The fluorescence is the property that allows an object to absorb the light, such as sunlight or artificial light from environment and to accumulate it. Into the dark that object slowly releases the stored light, self illuminating for many hours, creating a suggestive effect. Glass fusing basically means building a new solid-state glass, assembling different pieces that, in contact with heat, varying from 800 ° C to 850 ° C, become so fluid that they join together deeply and irreversibly. The cooling is very slow in order to allow the total reorganization and recovery of the molecular stability that the material possessedbefore being heated. Glass fusing allows, using colored compounds (enamels, oxides) to produce polychromeobjects. The work of the artist uses two main tools: heat and the force of gravity. The result depends on the degree of communication between the artist, the glass and the oven he uses.Size: cm 41 x 41 x 23 (inch.16.14 x 16.14 x 9.05)This handmade masterpiece is a unique piece, made in Italy.
