This was my grandpas lighter.. He was a tobacconist in early 20th century. He smoked cigars, so this was always next to his humidor. It is an American silver plate table lighter by Ronson Crown, circa early to mid 20th century, USA. Most Likely... 1940-1950s. It is an an Art Deco style with a graduated bead swirl design between shaped swirls.. making a great design.. Marked on underside is the lighter displays the hallmarks Ronson, US PAT.R.E. NO 19023, Art Metalworks Inc. "Newark, NJ, USA" and. With makers Ronson. Used with scratches and some tarnish on body, heavy tarnish on bottom near fill screw. Approx 3 1/4" Long X 2" D X 2 1/2" High. Note this is being sold as a decorative object it has not been used since 1950's. It has no lighter fluid in it and it has been aired out, to allow for its shipping. Please see photos.
