A matching pair of vintage Chinese porcelain Fu Lions (Chinese Shishi), very large size, finely detailed with numerous gold highlights and muted colored glazes, each with a third eye, gripping a protective gold sword and standing on a xiù qiú (geometric pattern embroidered ball, 绣球; representing the exterior world). Apocryphal Qianlong marks on the bottom indicate manufacture during 1956.
