This vintage globe by Replogle shows the world on the brink of World War II. The scarce 8-inch diameter globe has a domed copper tone base and full meridian. With its Art Deco styling and small table-top size, this globe is perfect for displaying on your desk or office bookshelf. Although small, the globe has lots of detail including a legend, international date line, tropics of cancer and capricorn, the path of Adm. Bryd's 1929 flight to the South Pole, Lindbergh's 1927 flight, & a selection of radio stations. Globe is marked "8 Inch Standard Globe Made by Replogle Globes Inc. Chicago, Ill."
