This sculptural zhenzhu stone, also known as a pearl stone, is hundreds of millions of years old and was foraged from the Zhejiang area of China. Artisans sculpted the natural form in the shape of a mountain range. Unusual stones have been appreciated by Chinese painters, poets and calligraphers for thousands of years as references to the natural world and inspiration for their creative work.
