An elegant and high quality French early 19th century Louis XVI st. Mahogany, Ormolu, and Bréche Polychrome marble console. This stunning freestanding and demi lune shaped console is raised by circular tapered solid Mahogany legs with turned feet, while joined by a bottom tier with a front mottled Ormolu edge guard. The upper portion of each leg displays a wonderful fluted design leading to the apron above fitted with three drawers. Each drawer showcases a recessed central panel elegantly decorated by a beaded Ormolu trim. The three drawers are separated by rectangular panels with Ormolu mounts of flower and surrounded by the same beaded trim. The central drawer is fitted with its original lock and Ormolu keyhole escutcheon. The two outer drawers have a circular Ormolu pull.
