It has classic Biedermeier proportions and a clever transforming design. The table stands on tapered legs. You can pull out the rear leg to support the folding tabletop. This simple mechanism allows the piece to open and transform into a round table. The surface features a warm walnut veneer and a refined star intarsia on the top. Expert craftsmen refinished the table with a traditional hand-polished shellac, which brings out the wood grain and adds a soft natural sheen.
