This elegant antique armchair was crafted in France, circa 1880. Built of oakwood, the armchair stands on barley twist legs embellished with a scrolled "X" bottom stretcher dressed with a decorative finial. The chair features a rounded back with curved ladder and leaf decor, two intricate armrests with hand carved lion head sculptures, and a wide and deep handwoven cane seat. The barrel shaped chair is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina; complete a man's study or office with this comfortable seating. Measures: 25.5" W x 22" D x 31.5" H.
