The brass mechanism swivels 360 degrees and is an articulating lamp. It can bend or straighten and the built in shade is also adjustable. The measurements of the base are 6" wide x 6" wide. It has the ability to go all the way up to 24" tall. When it's an L-shape, it is 14" deep but has the ability to be 23 1/2" total depth.
