The model is attributed to veb leuchtenbau lengefeld, one of the main manufacturers of functional lighting in the gdr. classic, functionalist form – black enameled steel shade, adjustable joint with brass elements, and a solid, heavy base for stability. the piece has an original inventory sticker: “groß-berlin – rat des stadtbezirks prenzlauer berg,” which indicates its use in the public administration of east berlin. original bakelite switch in the shade. condition: good vintage condition.
