Set of adjustable “Heron” desk lamps, designed by Isao Hosoe for Luxo, Norway in 1994. Isao Hosoe has designed several bird-like lamps. However, the heron lamp is the most successful design and at the same time a very functional work lamp. The heron contains a mechanism that always keeps its head (the hood) parallel to the desk surface. These lamps are still in very good and working condition. The glass cap of one of the lamps is missing (under the head, see last photo). This does not affect the working of the lamp. Material: fiberglass reinforced nylon body with an aluminium reflector. Dimensions: h x w x d = 64 x 53 x 14 cm. Source: Book 1000 lights 1960 to present, page 412. The price is for the set. Wiring checked by an electrician. Normal wear consistent with age and use.
