This is the lamp that many have copied but this original was manufactured by Luxo, the design by Jac Jacobsen a Norwegian industrial designer and producer of this piece known in the business as the Balance Arm Lamp has stood the test of time. Retains the labels and is in good working order and can be adjusted in multiple ways. The lamp became more famous and noted to the masses staring in the Pixar movie as Luxo Jr. and used as Pixar's logo.
