Vintage mid century modern boomerang desk attributed to Peter Lovig Nielsen for Hedensted Mobelfabrik, made in Denmark c. 1950s, seen here in the less common v-leg variation. Built from teak and oak with brass detailing, the materials reflect a combination seen more commonly in the 1950s - 1960s era of Danish Modern design, notably among pieces by Hans Wegner and Borge Mogensen. The use of mixed woods offers an eye-catching contrast in both color and grain patterns. Three drawers provide storage space on the front side of the desk, while the back has a hinged storage compartment and a cubby space for books and display items. Visually pleasing from all angles, the desk is suitable for placement in the center of a room. The top drawer has a lock but no key. It is in the unlocked position.
