Wonderful and whimsical 19th-century Victorian mahogany etagere desk featuring a drop-front writing surface. This piece is characterized by intricate scrollwork, turned spindle columns, and multiple tiered shelves for display. The central portion includes a drop-front surface that opens to reveal a desk with leather writing surface and original wells for ink bottles and pens. There are two small dovetailed drawers above and one full width drawer below the desk area. The locks are non functioning. The key acts as the knob to open the drawers. Excellent antique condition. Original finish with some spotty wear. All fretwork is complete and in tact.
