Early 19th century stately walnut library table from France. The table has a wonderfully banded wood top with a beveled and carved decorated edge, surrounding lovely grained central boards. It retains the original single drawer in the front, and is supported on the most gorgeously hand-turned vine barley twist legs with matching stretchers, and finished with a large and impressive hand-turned finial. This table is also finished on the back for easy placement in any room. This piece can be raised for use as a desk for an additional cost.
