The shaped apron and drawer front are decorated with scrolling floral marquetry set against diagonal parquetry grounds, with subtly shaded flowers that add depth and dimension to the design. The veneers throughout are particularly attractive, including mirrored grain patterns running along the front and rear faces of the legs — a refined cabinetmaking detail rarely seen on simpler revival pieces.
