Neoclassical center desk in walnut, Piacenza, last quarter of the 18th century. Top in solid walnut inlaid with mahogany veneered and maple threaded fret. Drawer in the band, the latter decorated with frames, roughened truncated cone legs ending with spherical feet. Walnut and fir interior. Frame of one of the short sides missing. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity, however it is well documented in design history.
