A stunning original Art Deco figured walnut leather top desk. This was made in England, it dates from the 1930’s. It has an unusual and stylish design, with a nice and compact size, the quality is absolutely amazing. One side is curved with open shelving and a two door cabinet on the side, there is an inset black leather writing surface. The other side has a bank of drawers with finely sculpted satin wood handles. The top drawer is a dummy drawer, and the top lifts up to reveal a divided pigeon hole compartment. The solid wood construction has beautiful figured Australian walnut veneers, giving a striking effect. This is also beautifully polished on the back, so can be used as a free standing item. We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb for its age.
