Elegant stepped desk in mahogany and mahogany veneer. Gilt bronze frame opening with a drawer inlaid with leaf and flower stems. The front features a drawer with an ormolu catch and compartments forming a courier tray. The legs and top are delicately adorned with an Art Nouveau-style gilded bronze trim decorated with irises. The top is covered with leather. Circa: 1890s.
