Jules wabbes (1919-1974), boomerang executive desk with two blackened wood drawers, dovetailed and individually set into a steel slat frame. the top is made of solid wenge (african rosewood) strips, assembled on edge, ensuring excellent dimensional stability while preserving the look and texture of solid wood. Manufactured by mobilier universel, circa 1960. this model was presented at the 11th milan triennale in 1957. the desk has been restored by our conservator. minor signs of normal wear on the steel frame, slight scratch on the top. max. H 76 cm x w 196 cm x d 92 cm top thickness 4 cm. each drawer: h 72.5 cm x d 54 cm x w 76 cm. drawers: d 73 cm x h 4 cm (2 drawers) x h 12 cm (2 drawers) x h 15 cm (2 drawers) x h 25 cm (1 drawer) minor signs of normal wear on the steel frame, a small scratch on the top (see photos). bibliography: m.
