Burled walnut and walnut writing slope with brass mounts, made in 1870, on a late 20th century lacquered stand. The burled walnut top with a central brass inlaid presentation plaque dated December 27th 1870, the front is burled walnut the sides and back of the writing slope are walnut. The lock on the writing slope stamped, Bramar, Patent London. The lacquered base is late 20th century.
