Courier Desk, Natural Oiled Oak Veneer - Deep Black

Vitra's Courier desk is a minimalist workstation created by French designer Ronan Bouroullec, featuring a curved oak veneer top and slender aluminum legs with softly rounded lines. Also known for his work as a visual artist, Bouroullec has given the desk a light, flowing shape reminiscent of a line drawn with a Japanese felt-tip brush. The side profile of the desk brings to mind a serif – the small decorative strokes found at the ends of classic typefaces. This reference is echoed in the desk's name, as Courier is one of the most iconic serif fonts.
