Early writing desk having signature polished aluminum pedestal leg base and large 96” walnut veneer boat shaped top, dually suitable as a conference table or desk. Story behind this rather elusive piece was it had apparently been sitting in the conference room of a bank in Casper, Wyoming for the last 30 some odd years. Designed by George Nelson director of Design for Herman Miller from 1947 to 1972, circa 1960s.
