A French 19th century Louis XVI style ebonized and brass inlay drop-leaf desk. This desk has ormolu and inlay banding throughout with a brass inlaid cartouche in the center of its top. Both sides of the desk have demilune drop leaves supported by wooden slides below. One drawer is found in the (swelled) apron with a functioning lock and key. Turned and fluted legs have gilt ormolu at their capitals and bases with a brass inlay shaped stretcher.
