A very old workshop piece, originally used for making leather gloves in the small town of Millau, Aveyron, France. Made of oak. This piece can be used as a desk or counter. It has the form of a desk, with three drawers, topped by a cabinet that opens from above and slides forward like a drawer, with a front that tilts to reveal a writing surface covered in black leather. This piece features a double top; the leather-covered top closes and is concealed by a second solid oak top, one half of which slides beneath the other. Two side drawers are equipped with working locks and original shell handles. The central drawer has a similar handle. Dimensions of the piece: 139 cm wide, 89 cm high, 72 cm deep. Height under the central drawer (legs): 51 cm. Height of writing surface: 68 cm. Writing surface: 120 cm wide, 12 cm high, 59 cm deep. Interior dimensions of the central drawer: 53 cm wide, 7 cm high, 62 cm deep. Interior dimensions of the side drawer: 29 cm wide, 14 cm high, 62 cm deep.
