An absolutely exquisite antique French inlaid bureau plat desk. This was made in France, it dates from around the 1880-1890 period. It is one of the finest examples we’ve ever come across, it has an elegant and stylish design with some of the most fantastic inlaid patterns. The top is profusely inlaid with various woods. There is further beautiful inlaid work around the edges, and extremely high quality ormolu mounts. There is a single drawer on the front, the back is also nicely finished and appears identical, only without a drawer.
