Circa 1920's walnut library table or writing desk from Italy. The top has lovely graining and has a beveled edge with a hand carved apron beneath. The top follows down to a raised paneled apron which contains two drawers in the front and two false drawers on the back for symmetry. The apron measures 25 inches in height. The base is of a trestle form, with gorgeous hand carved trestle legs in the shape of large fluted vases, which end in wonderful hand carved paw feet. joined by a scalloped central stretcher. This is a lovely and stately piece for any home or office.
