An Early Louis XV Period Carved and Painted Blue & White Provençale Writing Table with a Faux Marble Painted Top, with its original lock and key. The carving comprises depictions of vines, leaves and flowers, acanthus leaves, and rocaille shells. Mortise and tenon pegged construction. Paint appears to be original with restorations and touch-ups as to be expected. France, region of Provence, circa 1750
